I'm Kate.

I know how important your wedding is to you and how much you'll appreciate a lasting record of your day for years to come. What I've learned in the decade I've been professionally photographing weddings as a full-time job, is that whilst each is unique in its own way, it's love which sews a common thread.

In telling the story of your day, your wedding photos will primarily feel very natural, capturing all the events, moments and relationships, and with a collection of relaxed and loving portraits of you together as a couple, and also with your loved ones. My clients are often shy in front of the camera, but soon relax into my informal and friendly approach, with just enough guidance and direction to take away any awkward feelings, and without the need for traditional, stiff posing.

I'm a musicals-loving, tea-drinking, Netflix watching, creative-type, and mum to two young daughters. We live with my partner, the other mumma to my girls. I sometimes dye my hair pastel pink to release my inner whimsical unicorn, even though I recently hit my 40s... gulp.

I'm currently writing my second novel though it's pretty tough to find the time! I have a 1st Class BA (Hons) Degree in Education, but since having children, I found photography and videography to be the perfect career for me because just as with my own family – I love preserving memories for couples and their families. My absolute favourite thing is when couples come back to me to capture each new milestone or event in their lives; I've been capturing legacy images for some families for many years.

Kate was the winner of the Highly Commended Photographer Of The Year award in 2016 at The Kent Wedding Awards. She has also won an international Wedisson Award for Best Wedding Photography, and been featured as Best Of for VOGUE Italia.

Magazines such as Your Kent Wedding, A Kentish Ceremony, and Bride have also featured Kate's work. Additionally, she was named as a finalist in The Swale Business Awards, and formerly co-presented a radio show for 922FM, producing features on the topics of business and mindset. She's photographed most things from royalty to shrimp, you'll rarely see her without a camera.
