“Alex and I sat up in bed and watched through the whole slideshow and were bawling our eyes out! Reliving all those moments again was so overwhelming and emotional. Thank you so much for creating such an amazing display of our wonderful day. We are beyond pleased with the photos and it’s all thanks to yourself and Amanda [assistant]!

…you’ve just made our honeymoon even better!”

As a fellow award-winning wedding supplier at the 2016 Kent Wedding Awards, The Old Kent Barn was every bit worth the acclaim as a gorgeous, all-in-one venue with flexible indoor and outdoor spaces for getting ready, holding the ceremony, dining, drinking, socialising and partying! In this have-it-all location, Kay and Alex and their guests were able to relax into the natural flow of the day, without hurrying from one location to another (except in the onsite tuk-tuk!) or feeling bound by schedules whereby rooms need to be reorganised. Staff are really lovely (as are the desserts… those profiteroles… drool)!

We’d already shot Kay and Alex’s gorgeous, balmy afternoon style engagement shoot at the barn which you can see here so it was lovely to see them and the venue transition for the wedding! Theirs was a classic day with all the elements you might expect from an elegant, traditional celebration, with an understated, natural, rustic theme, subtly complemented by the muted tones of the bridesmaids’ dresses and the slightly bolder check of the groomsmen’s suits (though the men’s pink socks were a surprise twist for Kay)! Kay, herself, looked dazzling in her lace dress with added sparkle in the belt and really pretty, lace, off-the-shoulder straps.

The evening band, The Soundcasters, were incredible – I especially enjoyed their surprising and amusing renditions of a couple of Disney tunes which went down well before they got the crowd dancing into the night!
