Lizzie and Chris had an elegant, traditional wedding day in the grandeur of Chilston Park Hotel in Maidstone. They threw in a quirky yet gorgeous safari theme, complete with gold-glittered wild animal centrepieces, chocolate animal lollipop favours, and ocasional bold safari prints whilst still keeping within a classy, classic colour scheme.
Lizzie looked stunning in her lace wedding dress with loose curls and was joined by her closest girlfriends, all pretty in pastel pink! Her bridesmaids’ gift bags contained all sorts of goodies and went down very well!
Chris’ mum did a wonderful job of making their cake, which sat well in the theme with its safari-print hearts and mini giraffes as decoration! It was admired by all and sounded delicious though the family recipe was a firm secret! It’s always lovely when family members can share their talents and skills; this makes a weding that extra bit personal!
I especially loved the amusing nod to their Easter wedding on the candy buffet table, which mixed Lindt chocolate bunnies with giraffes from the safari!
Wishing Lizzie and Chris much happiness in their marriage! Probably with giraffes… somewhere!
